Earlier this year we had opted not to do Master classes,
but we're working on some "Folk School" workshops in
Downtown Geneva. It is a Late Breaking concept

Rich Warren usually hosts several of our feature Festival artists in a
live studio concert for WFMT "Fine Arts Circle" Members that is
broadcast and streamed on the Internet for all. This year you have

Plus An "Open Jam" On The Island

We've cancelled the Saturday Night "Open Mike" and "Pot Luck"
this year because we will all be busy at The Unitarian Universalist
Church in Downtown Geneva setting up the Live WFMT Festival
broadcast. Details on the show are just above so why don't you
join us. If you're a Jam afficinado, however, you can bring your
instruments and Jam under the trees or in the Pavillion at Island
Park. It's a great way to get in the Festival Spirit too.

The Hospitality room will be locked, but the bathrooms are open
until the Park closes at 10 PM, but we'll "leave a light on for you"
in the pavillion for jamming after sunset!

times and roles. Also, we still have some slots to fill so please look to see if you can
cover open slots. Empty Shuttle slots won't be filled until we fill critical (yellow) slots.

FOX VALLEY FOLK FESTIVAL
Description, Structure, Raffle & Previous Schedules .

The Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival will be held at the beautiful 13 acre Island Park, located in downtown Geneva, IL, about 40 miles West of downtown Chicago. Eight stage areas present concerts, hands-on workshops, topical song and story workshops, dance, vocal and instrument classes and special things for the kids.

Once again, there will be tents and covered areas in case of rain, plus dozens of craft and record vendors, activities for the children, workshops and picking circles throughout the site.

Raffle

Our Festival raffle will feature a Top line guitar, provided by our good friends at Tobias Music in Downers Grove, IL. . The raffle will also feature other prizes like boxed folk music CD sets and books.

Getting To The Festival

The Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival is held each year at beautiful Island Park, a 13 acre island in the Fox River located in downtown Geneva, IL, (about 45 miles West of downtown Chicago). The main parking area for the Festival is at the Kane County Government Center is at 719 S. Batavia Avenue, (IL Rt. 31), in Geneva. The METRA Union Pacific West Line Railway station is also located three blocks west of the festival's main entrance. The Comfort Inn & Suites Geneva, 1555 E. Fabyan Pkwy, Geneva, is providing special support to the Festival and offering guests a very special rate if the mention the "Fox Valley Folk Festival" when they make their reservations. They are the closest hotel to Festival parking.
